Don't panic. We have not converted to 'Bama fans -- but we did take our first Alabama beach trip to Dauphin Island with Meme and Papa in April of this year (2013). It was the first beach trip of the year, and it was a great one! It was a week or two before James' big 2nd birthday so we had a pre-b-day celebration for James, which he loved every minute of. It was a great trip!

Since it was a little early in the year - it was a little cool in the mornings, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the beach breeze with our cup of joes and James' cup of milk! :)
James ate up all the attention he could possibly soak up from Meme and Papa:
Every morning we would go on a little walk around the island... James was the lucky dog in the stroller while mommy and daddy did the huffing and puffing :)
James was voted best dressed of the island:

Although it was April - it was still warm enough to enjoy some beach time! The beach had very white, soft sand which was gorgeous - but James wasn't so thrilled to walk around in....
... which made beach time that much more enjoyable for mommy and daddy! Haha...
.... because somebody wasn't QUITE as mobile as he usually is....
So we enjoyed our stationary fun! :)

We were also "those" people who fed the birds....
... but ya know what? I could care less being "those" people because I'll do anything for that million dollar smile and giggle on little man's face! :)
James was all about feeding "da birdies"!

... and during this trip James got good at manning the hose. And when I say good... I mean VERY good.
During this trip Jimmy felt Wyatt moving for the first time while we were relaxing together on this couch!
And mommy and daddy even got a date night out, compliments of Meme and Papa

It was a great trip - and a great kick off to the "beach season" of 2013! Thanks so much for the amazing memories, Meme and Papa. Can't wait to make some more! :)
