So, again - disclaimer - playing major catch up on the ol' blog. Enjoy a flash back Friday to Easter 2013 when the Cooks made their first GA visit! :)
Although Easter is supposed to mean flowers in bloom and the start of warm weather -- this year's Easter in GA was NOT that. It was yucky, overcast and cold, but the Cook family made it the best ever!
Fran, David and Miss Ellie girl made their way up to check out our new "home." We had a fun weekend of easter egg hunts, petting zoos (at our church), pizza and quality cousin time. Although the end of the visit wasn't as grand as the beginning (there was a nasty tummy bug going around that James had just gotten over and of course the last night of our guests' visit -- poor Da'vid got it :( boooo...), it was still a great time. Thanks Cooks for coming to visit us in GA! We can't wait for y'all to come back soon!!! :)
Pics from our weekend:
We started early Saturday morning for an easter egg hunt and petting zoo fun at our church, Mt. Bethel.
Ellie and James weren't so sure about the animals at first - but slowly warmed up to them.
Ever since this weekend, every, single, solitary, time, we go to church - James asks, "See animals??" haha
(Little did we know it - but Ellie's little sister was brewing in Frannie's belly during this trip! Frannie didn't feel that well and had an inkling that something was up -- and she found out as soon as she got home!)
Fran, Ellie, James and I calling the llama...
James was a wee-bit all over the place....
You're never too old (or too big) for playground fun! :)
Ellie was such a good girl, all weekend long!
I love these action shots:
1).
2).
3).
4). (James: "Hi Ellie! Hi! Hi! Don't 'cha wanna huuuug???")
Now those are two studs with two gorgeous kids! LOVE!
Cousin bath time! :) hahahahahahahaha...
Ellie didn't know what to think of all the water - her first big, big bath time!
James was in charge of fixing everyone's hair ;-)
This might be my favorite picture of the entire weekend!
All clean and ready for an early bed time - after all....
THE EASTER BUNNY WAS COMING IN THE MORNING!!!
Well, what do ya know.... The Easter bunny came for two sweet chillen's :)
James did not know what to think! He was pumped!
He did not waste any time tearing into his basket.
Sweet boy even shared with his dada.
And homeboy did not leave one egg unopened. Gotta find that treasure!
We then got ready for church, snapped a few pics....
.... and unfortunately found out that they change the time of the services on Easter.... Sooooo, we didn't get our church on this Easter - but by golly we tried and were there! That should count for something..... right?
So when we got home we took some photos outside.
Our family of four! (Wyatt was brewing in the ol' belly.)
My world :)
Frannie and Ellie decided to jump in the photo session (poor David was sick :( - sorry Uncle Da'viiiiid!!!!)
Poor Ellie was not in the picture taking mood. We told Fran, "Just keep smiling, we will work on Ellie..."
(Sorry FeFe -- we didn't do a good job!)
(Sorry FeFe -- we didn't do a good job!)
It was supposed to be our first official holiday meal in the new dinning room.... but since David was sick the Cooks hit the road (don't blame them!)....
.... but we enjoyed our chicken divan all the same!
My dinning lunch dates...
Post dinner book time -- gotta break in the Easter bunny's presents!
Another great holiday for the books. Fran, David and Ellie - thanks for coming to see how we were settling in. Can't wait for your next visit to GA!!! Love y'all!
