James met Santa!!!!

.... But was scared to death! Don't worry James... Mommy and Daddy told him you really wanted a CHOO-CHOO, a truck and some pretzels. I think you'll be just fine come Christmas morning.

Merry Christmas to all our friends and family from the Larsons still slowly but surely getting settled in the big G-A!

Visiting The Apple's

So childhood BFF has been living a fun and exciting life in Switzerland with new hubby of a year and some change. When she told me she'd be home for a small window in December -- I knew we had to go see her! So glad we got to visit Miss Em and Glo and also thankful they got to see what a wiiiild ham biscuit J has become.

It's funny how some things change... But then again some things never change. Old friends are the best!

Photo montage of our day (in jumbled order thanks to the app on my phone):

Giggles for Georgia

Jimmy and I felt horrible because the whole time both sets of grandparents took care of J- man while we were painting, unpacking, getting settled, etc he was pitiful, sick and just not his normal, happy self. I'm happy to report he is back to his giggly- self.

Although this video is cute, he was laughing way harder for me pre- camera.... Typical. :-)

Somebody loooooves 'TA-TA'

... aka Santa. We haven't decorated as we typically do since we've been knee deep in boxes and paint but what we have up, James loves! We got this little decal thing randomly the other day. James runs to it all the time and waves and says "hiiiiiiiiii-eeeee TA-TA.... Hiiiiiii-eeeee"

Too cute! Happy holidays everyone!

Settling down in Georgia...

At every single house James and I went through while house hunting in Atlanta, James would go running toward the backyard yelling, "Saaaa-deeeeey?!"

Now as we are getting unpacked and sorting through the chaos as James' wonderfully, fabulous grandparents have kept him (thanks again Meme, Pawpaw, Nana and Pop!!!!), Sadie keeps staring out the front window... looking for James.... (Or could be the squirrels or neighbors BUT for blog purposes... we'll assume James. )

Can't wait to be settled and have our whole family together! Georgia, I have a feeling you are going to be very good to us. Here's to the next chapter of the Larson Family!! :-)

Peekaboo

Dippin' Boy

Jimmy and I both love dips... We love chips and dip, dipping sandwiches in sauces or hot soup, our wings in ranch or blue cheese, etc...

Apparently our love of dipping has been passed on. Whenever we go eat Mexican (a Larson fav), James HAS to have his own cup of salsa to dip in. Now he has to have ketchup... on... everything! Today he not only plunged his leftover fries in ketchup... But also some cheez-its and lots of grapes. I know, ew.

Enjoy some pics of our messy lunch:

Friends getting married and having babies...

... yeah... Jimmy and I both realize we are old. Well, Jimmy and his friends are... I'm still way behind them.... Ha!

This weekend we headed to Aiken for Josh and Carla's wedding. Jimmy was in the wedding as a groomsmen, along with Jimmy's ol' best man and new father, Ian Kane.

We hadn't got to meet Ian and Britnie's sweet baby girl, Maren, yet so we cover lots of bases with this trip.

Although the wedding festivities were in Augusta, GA, we were able to stay with Meme and Pawpaw (formerly Grammy and Grandpa, renamed by James - ee - poo!) and were all grateful for time together (especially Mr. James).

It was a great (but exhausting) weekend! We were constantly on the go, go but had a great time and loved watching Josh as he married his beautiful bride! He was the happiest we can all ever remember.... Cheers to the Delaneys! :-)

Once we got home and .... somewhat .... settled, we headed to have dinner at Grandmama and Sandra's. James was in hog heaven bc he had Gracie and Adeline to follow around.

All in all, great weekend! :-) enjoy some pics (of course scrambled in order compliments of the iPhone app, but oh welllllll):

Happy Halloweeeeeen 2012

So J-man had quite the successful 2nd Halloween. It started on Sunday afternoon at our church Trunk or Treat. James was SUPER DUPER excited about two things: a cool (little jankety) CHOO-CHOO train and fire trucks! He was just a little too small for the games but (as always) loved seeing all the big kids. After Trunk or Treat we had a nice fun family dinner, and then Jimbo had to hit the road for Atlanta (blah).

Today (actual Halloween) we had some Volvo car issues (go figure), so once I got J all dressed up we headed to pick Jimmy up from work a little after 5pm. We trick or treated at The Costigans and checked out their new house. Then to The Springs for more Trunk or Treat fun with Nana and Pop, and then a quick hop over to see Grandmama and Sandra.

After seeing some family and friends we headed home to give out candy. We are hoping to get to show Ma his costume tomorrow AM, and we are looking forward to visiting Meme and Pawpaw for this weekend for Josh's wedding.

Life sure is busy, but certainly fun!

My two monkeys at Trunk or Treat at Mauldin Methodist Church...

....pre-church... our little boy LOVED his costume...

And I LOVE my little monkey SO MUCH! Even if he breaks my lamps :)

James & Daddy at church

Cheesy biscuits :)

... "TRUCK!"....

He was excited, and scared at the same time...

Uh oh.... he spotted the CHOO! CHOO! :)

Here our little J-man is contemplating actually sitting in the fire truck... He wasn't so sure...

He's still not ENTIRELY sure...

... he's warming up...

.... THINKIN' 'bout it....

Oh yeah. He's digging driving the big fire truck.

He loved that steering wheel.....

And the Mauldin firemen were SO sweet...

James and mommy got to ride on the ... neat... quite rough.... choo choo train!

Here...

... we go!

Dinner after trunk or treat! James decided he is a big boy
and needs to sit at the table rather than the high chair (ha!)...

Halloween morning our little man was sleeping hard...

I had to wake him for mom's morning out, but snuck a couple sweet pics of him snuggled up with his bebe (aka blankie)... He loves that blanket and that thumb... (and I do too! They both help him sleep so well!)
(... pictures are blurry because they were taken in the dark before we
turned on the light to wake the munchkin up....)

Trick-or-treating at the Costigans! Thanks for the yummy treats and the photo, MS! :)

Trunk or treat at the Springs with Nana and Pop! This picture (below) was after J-man was a little freaked out by the adult costumes... Batman and a (scary) clown were not a hit with James! :) But I think we all enjoyed how shy and cuddly he was.

Go figure.. He loved the old blue truck! We actually put him in, but it kind of scared him a little bit... The pic below was right after Nana pulled him out... :)

J-man loves some "Nanaaaaa..."

.... and I love this pic!

When we got home and got ready for dinner, James turned
from monkey to Tom Cruise... slash... pant-less gardener?? :) Fun times...

Sadie was a little freaked out by all the door bell ringing, and it was hilarious how she SPRUNG on to Jimmy's lap after we put J to bed.

Happy Halloween y'all!! :)

Now to end on a little Halloween video... Here's a cute video of James all dressed up... He was really good at saying, "Oooohhh oooohhhh ahh! ahhh!" when he put on his costume but always gets a little camera shy. He is pretty good at saying, "Hiiiiii" and "Bye bye" :) Enjoy!
