A Very Merry Christmas

So this year's Christmas proved to be one of the best ones yet. Jimmy had a solid two weeks off, we had quality time with both sides of the family, we had quality time with our little family of four, we enjoyed yummy food and wine, and I got to share it all with the three cutest, sweetest guys I know! ;-)

We had a relatively low key Christmas Eve... Made it to church and took the traditional Christmas Eve selfie in front of the tree (obviously Wyatt is a rookie - ha!):

I remember thinking last year how crazy it was that we would have two Larson boys for Christmas 2013:

After Mr. Wyatt went to bed, we dug into our Christmas Eve feast!

Decorated some last minute cookies for Mr. Claus:

We didn't forget about the reindeer! We put food out for them, compliments of Roswell Pres and a wonderful neighbor:

After we put out the reindeer food, we set up Santa's sweets with a cold glass of milk!

People used to give me a hard time because I used to always say all I wanted to do when I grew up was be a mom. Well, I was right. It is the best thing ever. Yeah it's tough at times, but what in life that's worth anything not tough?

So this Christmas I'm sending my thanks to Jesus on his birthday for blessing me with my lifetime dream... an amazing family. My heart is so full these days! :)

Potty Tiiiiiiime

So... If I could have a dime for how many times Jimmy and I have screamed, sang, said, cheered those words over the past few days I would be a rich woman.... fo' sho'.

Since James has been enduring the ugly cycle of self constipating himself for over 4 months, Jimmy and I decided enough was enough. We decided it was.... POTTTTTTYYYYYY TIIIIIIIIIIIIME! Haha...

We decided to do the "three day boot camp" - sans diapers. Talk about cold turkey. Although this has been one of the hardest things I think I have ever had to do, it's pretty amazing to be done with diapers (for the most part.... Fingers crossed.... Knock on wood!).

James has been pretty pumped and not the least bit modest about his new big boy undies... :)

Notice somebody is pantless here -- and that is Wyatt with his nose in a book. Quite the studious Larson ;-) bahahaha... (Wyatt has almost mastered rolling from back to tummy... almost!)

We've read books, sang songs, cried, laughed and cheered on the potty...

We've also called in the big guns.... The Potty Chart!

Wyatt is pretty proud of his big brother.... We all are!

So that explains my slackness with my holiday posts.... We've been a bit busy here. :)

Yeah to transitioning from two sets of diapers to just one. My wallet and nose are both pretty ecstatic! ;-)

An Aiken Christmas

So this past weekend and a day we enjoyed a Kircher- Larson Christmas. On the way to Aiken we made a quick pit stop to Greenville so that I could enjoy my annual girls' Christmas get together. It was an amazing weekend and a fabulous start to Christmas 2013. Hard to believe this time last year we were just moving into GA, and just finding out we were pregnant with Wyatt!

Saturday night we went to Hopeland Gardens to see the lights (something Jimmy and I did back when we were dating):

After opening gifts, Jimmy and James put together Legos in front of the tree (sweetness):

Later that morning we got to visit with good friends, Ian, Britnie and Maren (and James got a little fresh, HA!):

We got to share a room with this sweet nugget, and we all slept great!

Sunday night some of Jimmy's old high school buddies came by and James got excited to play with new friend, Caleb :)

It was a great time with family and friends and such a great kick start to what -- I have a feeling -- will be one of our best Christmases yet! :)

Sweet Caroline Frances Cook was born! The 10th grandchild on the Howard side!

Last weekend I left the boys in good hands (with their daddy) and drove to Columbia for some quality sister and auntie/niece time! Lala came and we got to rub on her bump, due in February!

James is also growing like a weed!

James is also being a VERY good big brother and teaching Wyatt all about trucks!
